Dr. Hall graduated from Newcastle University in 1986. She is an extremely accomplished senior general practitioner. She has experience in General Practice, family planning and school health for more than 30 years. Her special interests include child and adolescent health, women’s health, preventative medicine, nutritional medicine and mindfulness therapy. She has travelled extensively and has four children who are also doctors.

Dr Arlene Suttar

Dr. Suttar graduated from University of Tasmania. She has over 20 years experience in General Practice and has practiced in England and Scotland. Having played competitive sport for many years, she is very interested in sports injuries and also child health.​Dr. Suttar embraces the variety and challenge of general practice, which cares for families of all ages. She enjoys caring for family groups from the elderly members to the latest newborn.

Mr Anthony Taylor

Anthony is a Registered Chiropractor in our practice, with over 25 years experience. He has experience in back pain, cervical spondylosis and spine related pain for a long time. He is a very kind and helpful specialist. Besides working with challenging cases, he loves working with everyday office workers who have sedentary jobs and stressed out lifestyles. Headache, migraine, and poor-posture related issues are just a few of his favorite areas that he really enjoys working with to help people reach their maximum potential.

Ms Josephine Marston

Psychologist

Jo is a Registered Psychologist moving from Melbourne. She has over 20 years experience in Mental Health Care. With individuals, she predominantly works with adults and teenagers who are facing a broad range of problems. She adopts evidence-based intervention strategies that are selected to meet the individual’s needs. She also undertakes assessments of individuals and families in a psycho-legal context. She joined us from June 2015, working here every Wednesday and Friday.

Dr Nidhi Verma

GP

Dr Verma graduated from the University of Tasmania and undertook hospital and GP training in Brisbane and Melbourne respectively before moving back to Hobart. Her clinical interests include children’s health holding a Diploma of Child Health from Westmead Hospital and plant-based nutrition completing a Certificate in Plant-based Nutrition from eCornell and the T. Colin Campbell Centre for Nutrition Studies. In her free time she enjoys yoga, meditation and is training to run her first marathon.

We have 3 practice nurses available to assist the doctors with immunisations, blood and urine testing, weight and growth monitoring, well women checks including Pap smears, wound management, new patient and management plan interviews and general health problems. Please make a nurse appointment for any of these mattes, specifying your reason for the booking. Usually you will also briefly see the doctor.

One of our practice nurses is available for phone advice if you have a problem and are uncertain what medical attention you require. She can also usually give investigation results. We encourage patients to take responsibility for obtaining their results.

Our reception staff, Louise, June, Laura & Rong work part time and have worked at the practice for a number of years. They will endeavour to assist you in a friendly and efficient manner.

Dr Jerzy Tarnawski

Dr Jerzy Tarnawski has an extensive expertise and experience in most areas of medical field. Dr J. Tarnawski is also specializing in Pain Management using non-invasive laser acupuncture. Dr J. Tarnawski graduated in Medicine in 1975 in Poland. In 1983 he became a Specialist General Physician from Postgraduate Medical Centre in Warsaw, Poland. In 1984 he practiced as a Specialist General Physician in Specialist Medical Centre in Vienna, Austria. In 1985 he moved with his family from Austria to Australia. In Australia he first practiced in Alice Springs Hospital, NT, then he worked as a General Practitioner in Perth, WA. In 1998 he relocated with his family to Melbourne, VIC where he continued to practice as a General Practitioner. In 2005 he opened his own Medical Centre in Toorak Melbourne. In 2017 he sold his medical centre and moved to Hobart, TAS. Since June 2017 he has been practicing as a General Practitioner at Long Beach Medical Centre.

Having worked in rural areas, Dr Baskar has a wide range of clinical skills. Her other interest include women's health and children's health.
